Why a Motocross Marketing Podcast?

The Moto Marketing Podcast is a podcast designed for the moto movers and shakers, industry spearheads, and the motocross athletes. Hosts Luke Nesler, CEO of Impakt Media, and George Cicci, Chief Marketing Officer at Impakt Media,  look to educate the moto community on the digital marketing landscape to better understand how to brand for businesses. 

Our two hosts have extensive interest in the motocross world, especially in the digital marketing facet. The duo realized that there were a lot of podcasts about the race reports, industry drama, and riders. However, there weren’t any strictly dedicated to digital marketing for the motocross industry. 

After partnering with Racer X, the group agreed that there was a lack of a digital marketing guide for the employees, entrepreneurs, athletes, and promoters of the motocross community. So, the Moto Marketing Podcast was born.

The Voices Behind the Curtain

Luke, being an avid fan of the sport since he was a kid, dotes about the sport and his love for Racer X. He always knew he wanted to be in the moto industry, begging Davey Coombs of Racer X for any job with him. He even strategically befriended Tim Cotter’s son. 

Discussing humble beginnings, Luke mentions the start of Impakt Media in 2013 with co-creator Jeff Welsh. He wanted to take what he knew from co-creating a digital marketing company and take it to the motocross community. Getting that opportunity with his connections, Impakt is the leader of moto industry digital marketing. They now work with Racer X, NBC Sports, GNCC, Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, and Motocross of Nations.

George, Impakt’s CMO, always knew about motocross from his childhood in Pennsylvania. He grew up in a town where many people owned dirt bikes, but he never followed motocross too closely. George knew Racer X was in the area and had a friend who worked for them. Despite this, he became more familiar with the moto industry from his neighbor. This neighbor, he later found out, was also Davey Coombs. 

After getting involved with ticket sales with some motocross races and Racer X’s campaign to revamp its digital magazine platform, they started branching out more and more through the world of motocross. So, who better to know about digital marketing with moto than people who do it every day?
